They knocked out West Indies out of T20 World Cup with 9-wicket win. SriLanka booked their Super 12 spot with a 16-run win over Netherlands on Thursday. But with UAE winning by 7 runs against Namibia, it helped Netherlands go through. Round 1 has 1 more game left, following which winner of Scotland vs Zimbabwe match will move ahead to the Super-12. Group A: Namibia, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates
Group B: Ireland, Scotland, West Indies, Zimbabwe
GROUP A
The dynamics of Group A are quite interesting. The Netherlands sit comfortably at the top spot after having won their first two games. Namibia sits second followed by Sri Lanka in the third spot. UAE is knocked out from the group stage after having lost both their games. Though not confirmed, the Netherlands is just a step away from making it to the Top 12.
Sri Lanka and Namibia will have to win their next games with good margins so as to topple the other on the virtue of a better Net Run Rate. Upcoming Group A fixtures will see Sri Lanka taking on the Netherlands while Namibia taking on already eliminated UAE.
